By Wednesday night, wildfire smoke should reach Prince George’s.
According to an Environment Canada special air quality statement, wildfire smoke is anticipated to spread throughout the Prince George’s area over the next 24 to 48 hours.

Even in little amounts, wildfire smoke can be damaging to everyone’s health. Continue making efforts to safeguard your health and lessen your exposure to smoke, the statement advises.
“Those who work outdoors, those who are elderly, youngsters, pregnant women, persons with lung or heart conditions, as well as those who have one of these conditions are more likely to be affected by the health impacts of wildfire smoke.
Those who may be more vulnerable to smoking in your immediate environment or those you are caring for should be monitored.
According to Firesmoke.ca, smoke from a number of nearby wildfires will arrive in Prince George’s around 9 p.m. on Wednesday and remain there until about 8 p.m. on Thursday, with coarse particles reaching 60-120 micrograms per cubic meter.
The B.C. Wildfire Service still classified the large Donnie Creek wildfire in northeastern British Columbia as out of control as of lunchtime on Tuesday.
As of Wednesday morning, showers with a chance of thunderstorms are still expected.
