With virus season now in full blow, Northern Health is retelling residents to be advanced in their flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.

This comes as the health consultant is expecting an increase in breathing illness.

The virus vaccine is free and suggested for anybody six months and up. Shots are available at nearby pharmacies and primary healthcare providers.

“We boost everybody to get their virus and COVID-19 vaccines this fall, particularly people at higher risk of harm from virus and harm from COVID-19. This year’s virus season is expected to be more severe due to less exposure in the past two years during the COVID-19 epidemic. That’s why it’s particularly imperative to get vaccinated,” said Dr. Jong Kim, Chief Medical Health Officer.

Numerous communities either have health center running or will turn into operational in the next few weeks.

In several cases, residents may be capable to get their virus and COVID-19 vaccine during the same appointment.
