At around 1:00 pm on Wednesday (October 5) the Prince George RCMP got calls from Spruceland Mall, reporting that a physical attack was happening.
When they reached Spruceland Mall soon after, the victim and eyewitnesses both told RCMP that a man had bashed a woman to the ground and started hitting her in the face.

“Undoubtedly this incident would have continued if it were not for the actions of many people who interfered by shouting at the suspect to end,” said Cpl. Jenn Cooper.
“Moreover, investigators were capable to find the suspect within 25 minutes of the attack from the exact facts given to them by eyewitnesses at the scene. We show gratitude to all those who displayed great presence of mind to inform the police officer.”
The lady was assessed by BC Ambulance; she had injured her legs and arms and was in discomfort where she was smashed.
The unidentified 32-year-old man was detained at his home soon after the attack.
He has been free on an undertaking with a future Centralized Court date and was previously unidentified to police.
The investigation is continuing.
