The programme only accepts 120 individuals from all across the world.
This week, Laura Buchanan, Shayla Dyble, and Sloane Zogas, along with Shelby Richardson, artistic director of the Prince George’s Method Dance Society, will travel to Europe to take part in the international event “Camping” with the Centre National de la Danse in Lyon, France.

The festival is held in three cities: Paris, Pantin, and Lyon, with the Lyon portion of the festival concentrating on choreographic development for professionals and practitioners.
The week-long Lyon programme only accepts 120 participants from around the world, and they must apply in advance. Dancers will collaborate with choreographers and artists from throughout the world, such as Katerina Andreou, Christian Rizzo, Emmanuelle Huynh, and Marco Berrettini.
“We are overjoyed that dancers from our neighbourhood will be taking part in a festival workshop of this calibre. For the practise of dance professionals in the North to advance, access to a global creative platform is essential, according to Richardson.
On Monday, June 19, the dancers will start their workshop courses, which will conclude with a performance on Friday, June 23. Follow the dancers’ Instagram page @methoddancesociety to remain up to speed on their experience-sharing posts.
