In the home in the 300-block of Nicholson Street South, a victim who was injured on June 19 passes away.

As one of the victims who was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries has now passed away, Prince George RCMP is appealing for the public’s assistance in figuring out a home invasion that has turned into a homicide investigation.

Cpl. Jennifer Cooper of the RCMP stated in a statement that we are requesting the public once more to come forward with any information they may have regarding the individuals that entered the victim’s home prior to the home invasion.

On Monday, June 19, soon after 8 o’clock, RCMP was called to a residence in the 300-block of Nicholson St. South, which is about a half-block north of Fifth Avenue.

The victim was recognized as a man. A woman who had been injured was also discovered inside the house and was also transported to the hospital.

Anyone who may have been driving in the vicinity between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. and has a dashcam is asked to phone Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.

The death brings the total of homicides in and around the city so far this year to six.
